Privacy Policy
BCOverheadAgent — operated by BC Solutions.
Effective date: May 15, 2026
Who we are
BCOverheadAgent ("BCOA," "the Software") is a Windows desktop application published by BC Solutions ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you use BCOA and the bcsuperagents.com website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Email address — collected at checkout when you purchase a BCOA license. We use this to deliver your license key, send support correspondence, and notify you of important updates to the Software.
- Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never see or store full credit card numbers. Stripe handles card data per their own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
- Support correspondence — if you contact us at support@bcconstructionledger.com, we retain the email thread for the purpose of providing support and improving the Software.
Information collected automatically by BCOA on your computer
- QuickBooks Online OAuth tokens — when you connect BCOA to your QuickBooks Online account, Intuit provides BCOA with OAuth access tokens. These tokens are stored only on your local Windows computer, encrypted at rest, in BCOA's local application data folder. They are never transmitted to BC Solutions servers.
- QuickBooks data — BCOA reads transaction data, payroll, and chart-of-accounts information from your QuickBooks Online account to compute burden rates and overhead allocations. This data is processed locally on your computer and never transmitted to BC Solutions servers.
- License activation data — when you activate BCOA, the Software sends your license key and a one-way hash of your machine's hardware fingerprint to our activation server (activation.bcsuperagents.com). We use this to enforce single-machine licensing and prevent unauthorized sharing. The hash cannot be reversed to identify your hardware.
Information collected by our website
When you visit bcsuperagents.com, our server records standard web access logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp, browser type). These logs are retained for up to 90 days and used solely to operate and secure the site. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
How we use your information
- To deliver and activate the BCOA license you purchased
- To provide customer support when you contact us
- To notify you of important security updates and bug fixes affecting BCOA
- To enforce the single-machine licensing terms of your purchase
- To diagnose and resolve technical issues you report
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for advertising. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third parties who process information on our behalf
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing. Privacy Policy.
- Resend, Inc. — transactional email delivery (license key delivery, support replies). Privacy Policy.
- Railway Corp. — server hosting for the activation service. Privacy Policy.
- Intuit, Inc. — QuickBooks Online OAuth provider. When you click "Connect to QuickBooks" inside BCOA, you authorize BCOA to access your QuickBooks data via Intuit's API. Your relationship with Intuit is governed by Intuit's own privacy policy.
How long we keep your information
- License records (email, license key, activation history): retained for as long as the license is active, plus 7 years for tax and audit purposes.
- Support correspondence: retained for 3 years after the last reply.
- Web access logs: 90 days.
- QuickBooks OAuth tokens on your computer: deleted when you uninstall BCOA or disconnect from QuickBooks.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@bcconstructionledger.com with your license key and the request. We will respond within 30 days.
You may revoke BCOA's access to your QuickBooks Online account at any time. See our disconnect page for instructions.
Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) for all communication with our servers, encryption at rest for OAuth tokens stored on your computer, and access controls on our activation server. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
Children's privacy
BCOA is intended for use by construction business owners and finance professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, if you are a current licensee, notify you by email. Continued use of BCOA after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
